Cerence to Build In-Car Assistant for Suzuki's eVitara Battery Electric Vehicle

Cerence (CRNC) said Tuesday that it is collaborating with Suzuki Motor to build an in-car assistant for Suzuki's first battery electric vehicle model called eVitara.

The company said it will use its conversational artificial intelligence technology to build Cerence Assistant, which will allow users to control vehicle functions like air conditioning and heat via voice interactions.

Shares of Cerence were down more than 1% in recent premarket activity Tuesday.
