9月30日金融一线消息，新华保险公告称，为落实《中华人民共和国公司法》和监事会改革有关要求，进一步优化公司治理，根据《中华人民共和国公司法》、中国证券监督管理委员会《上市公司章程指引》、国家金融监督管理总局《关于公司治理监管规定与公司法衔接有关事项的通知》等有关法律法规、监管规定，结合公司治理实践情况，公司拟对《新华人寿保险股份有限公司章程》修订。
新华保险表示，《关于修订〈公司章程〉及撤销监事会的议案》尚待提交股东大会以特别决议案审议，新修订的《公司章程》经股东大会批准后，需报请国家金融监督管理总局核准后生效。届时，公司不再设立监事会，现有监事同步退任，公司《监事会议事规则》同时废止。
