据扬子晚报，一名特斯拉技术员在工作期间被有故障的机器人袭击，身受重伤。目前医疗费用已达100万美元，后续治疗至少还需要600万美元。他在近日将特斯拉及其供货商告上法庭，提出5100万美元的赔偿。
根据法庭文件，这台机器人原本放置在“非指定区域”，不符合设备设计要求。事故发生时，工程师试图移除机器人底部的电机以查看内部组件，但机器人臂“突然且毫无警告地释放”，以相当于“约8000磅配重”的巨大力量击中亨特多布勒的身体，把他“扔到地上”并导致其“失去意识”。他遭受了严重身体伤害，包括物理创伤、情绪困扰和财务损失，已累计医疗费用达100万美元，预计未来还将额外产生600万美元费用。 这不是特斯拉首例机器人相关事故。
2021年，特斯拉得克萨斯州一家工厂曾发生类似事件，一名工程师被另一台工业机器人臂“爪子”抓住背部和手臂，留下“血迹”。另外，随着工厂自动化率上升，此类事故风险增加，截至2025年，美国企业已有至少41起机器人相关的死亡案例。
