Lakes Blue Energy (ASX:LKO) said a 4-1/2 inch diameter swellable packer completion is being run into the hole at the Wombat-5, side-track-2 well in Victoria, which will be positioned at a depth of 2,440 meters below the rotary table to facilitate gas production from the two major gas zones behind it, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The completion is currently at a depth of 2,185 meters below the rotary table.
After completion, the gas production wellhead will be installed at the top of the well, and the drilling rig will be demobilized. The site will be secured pending the arrival of a workover unit and gas flow test package, scheduled for Nov. 10.
Swellable packers are sliding sleeves to access gas zones. The completion includes a distributed temperature sensing optic fiber cable to assist in sensing gas flows from individual zones.
Its shares fell over 3% in recent trading on Monday.
