BlockBeats 消息，10 月 3 日，Base 协议负责人 Jesse Pollak 在参与《Crypto Playbook》视频播客时表示，Base 代码完全开源，立志成为 Linux 式的多开发者生态系统。这正是 Coinbase 计划在 Base 发行代币的主因——通过激励对齐实现代币去中心化。上月 Coinbase 已开始释放代币设想，若成行必将引发开发者与投机者的双重关注。
Pollak 强调，Coinbase 绝不仓促推进，短期内无公布时间表计划。他承认代币发行历史问题重重，往往成为项目方敛财工具而损害生态。对此 Coinbase 正谨慎推进，同时与 Base 上那些以负责任方式发行代币的项目（如实现“完全公平启动”的 Aerodrome）保持协作。‘代币具有独特性，不存在通用方案，”Pollak 指出。
