　　在Politico的此次采访中，白宫国家经济委员会主任凯文・哈塞特为美联储的独立性辩护（称其“重要性毋庸置疑”）……但他同时为特朗普质疑美联储独立性的行为辩解，称美联储（而非特朗普）才是带有党派色彩的一方。

　　对于一位身处美联储主席潜在候选人名单前列的人而言，这番指控相当重磅。

　　这一说法有何依据？

　　首先，哈塞特将2021年美联储通胀预测失误列为其“带有党派色彩”的证据，他表示：“美联储理事们本身的行事就带有党派倾向——比如，他们放任拜登时期的通胀彻底失控……

　　这一指控存在一个值得关注的矛盾点：在此期间，美联储六名理事中有五名是特朗普总统任命的（分别是鲍威尔、克拉里达、夸尔斯、鲍曼和沃勒）。哈塞特大概率清楚这一点，因为前四位理事的提名正是在哈塞特担任白宫经济顾问委员会（CEA）主席期间完成的。当时仅有的一名非特朗普任命的理事（布雷纳德），是由前总统奥巴马提名的。

　　当然，当美联储意识到自身对通胀的判断严重偏离实际后，便开始大幅加息。
