高盛集团（Goldman Sachs）表示，日本即将举行的领导层选举正对日元情绪产生影响。
高盛全球外汇、利率与新兴市场策略主管卡马克沙・特里维迪（Kamakshya Trivedi）表示：“自民党（LDP）选举相关的不确定性，是导致投资者迟迟不愿形成积极日元观点的原因之一。”
“我认为，这种不确定性的部分消除，也将有助于日元取得进一步进展。”
“我确实预计未来几周日元将走强，美元兑日元汇率将回落至 140.50-140.00 区间。”
若想日元进一步走强，市场需看到美国经济数据 “出现更显著的走弱”。
尽管美元高估程度较年初有所下降，但目前仍处于被高估状态。
美国政府停摆在一定程度上已在市场预期之内。
“但我认为，过去几周市场中逐渐升温的一种观点是，美国经济数据正呈现好转趋势；而政府停摆会在一定程度上遏制这种趋势，并使其出现逆转。”
