1159 GMT - Siemens spinning off its majority stake in Siemens Healthineers would please investors and shift focus to its software business, Bank of America analysts write. Healthineers has held back some investors in the German industrial conglomerate, the analysts say. A spinoff of the 71% stake would move focus to Siemens's solid midterm software results and encouraging smart infrastructure growth prospects, the analysts write. No decisions have been made, but Siemens is likely to announce the spinoff at its Nov. 13 investors meeting, they add. Siemens shares are up 3.2% and 27% year-on-year, while Siemens Healthineers is up 0.6%. (william.gray@wsj.com)
