Goldman Sachs Group (GS), Carlyle Group (CG), State Street (STT) and Franklin Resources' (BEN) Franklin Templeton are looking to open offices in Kuwait, which they already count as a client, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Goldman Sachs recently chose Mohammad Almatrouk, who previously served as a managing director at the Middle Eastern country's public pension fund, to head its local office, the report said, citing unnamed sources.
Goldman, Carlyle, State Street and Franklin Templeton didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
