Dr. Martens signed partnership agreements aimed at entering the United Arab Emirates for the first time and expanding the brand's reach in Latin America, as it seeks to tap into new growth markets.

The iconic British footwear and clothing brand said Thursday that it signed a distribution partnership agreement with Beside Group in the UAE that marks the brand's entry into the country for the first time. The partnership will launch and then grow the brand's presence in the UAE, initially through wholesale, with mono-branded store openings expected in the future, it said.

Additionally, the brand said it has partnered with Crosby, its official distributor in Latin America. The partnership will drive the brand's reach in Mexico, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile and includes mono-branded retail stores and wholesale, Dr. Martens said.

"These exciting partnerships are consistent with our strategy of entering new growth markets to reach more consumers than ever before through a capital-light approach," said Dr. Martens CEO Ije Nwokorie.
