Dyno Nobel's Decision to Operate Queensland Plant Until September 2026 'Sensible,' Jefferies Says

Dyno Nobel's (ASX:DNL) decision to continue operating its Phosphate Hill plant in Queensland until September 2026 if an agreed sale cannot be reached by March 2026 is "sensible," according to a Tuesday note by Jefferies.

The sale process is continuing, but remains uncertain due to outstanding supply issues around gas supply from Glencore's copper smelter and economic supply of gas. The decision could allow the plant to operate despite supply uncertainty and provide the firm with around AU$280 million of pre-tax cash flows.

The investment firm maintained its hold rating on Dyno Nobel and increased its price target to AU$3.38 per share from AU$3.15 per share.
