Greenvale Energy (ASX:GRV) said nine uranium anomalies were identified from historical airborne geophysics data as part of an initial regional prospectivity analysis of the Oasis uranium project in Queensland, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The firm conducted fieldwork at the anomalies, with a total of 33 rock-chip samples collected along with ground radiometric survey data, the filing said. This showed similar structural and mineralization characteristics to those observed at the Oasis deposit.
Based on these results, the firm believes there is strong potential to identify additional uranium mineralization across the broader tenement, per the filing.
The firm's shares rose almost 2% in recent trading on Thursday.
