Lithium Universe (ASX:LU7) said it is actively assessing a site in the Port of Brownsville Business Park in Texas, US, for its photovoltaic solar panel recycling project, in addition to Australia as a potential site, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The company said it is exploring Texas due to the state's fast-growing solar market, supportive regulations, and strong industrial infrastructure, among other factors.
The company's shares rose almost 17% in recent Thursday trade.
