伯克希尔哈撒韦正式将董事长和首席执行官的职务分离，这一期待已久的举措为格雷格·阿贝尔在2026年初接替沃伦·巴菲特担任首席执行官铺平了道路。
这家总部位于奥马哈的企业集团在新的监管文件中表示，其董事会于9月30日投票修订了公司章程，以区分这两个最高职位，修订立即生效。自1965年起执掌伯克希尔的巴菲特将继续担任董事会主席，而目前负责非保险业务的副董事长阿贝尔将于2026年1月1日接任首席执行官。
这一举措由95岁高龄的巴菲特在5月伯克希尔年度股东大会结束时首次宣布，令许多人感到意外。在最初宣布后不久，伯克希尔的董事会一致批准了对阿贝尔的任命。
巴菲特即使年事已高，很可能仍活跃于集团事务。就在本周早些时候，伯克希尔宣布将以约97亿美元的全现金交易收购西方石油公司的化工部门OxyChem。这标志着伯克希尔三年来最大的一笔交易。
现年63岁的阿贝尔自伯克希尔已故副董事长查理·芒格于2021年公开确认他为选定的继任者以来，一直被视为巴菲特的明确继承人。他是在1999年伯克希尔收购中美能源控股权时加入伯克希尔体系的，后来成为这家能源公司的首席执行官。
自2018年起，阿贝尔一直担任伯克希尔非保险业务的副董事长， overseeing 监管铁路、公用事业、能源、制造业和零售业务。
