Shares of Energy Transition Minerals Fall Ahead of Key Arbitration Decision

Shares of Energy Transition Minerals (ASX:ETM) fell around 7% in recent Thursday trade after it said in a late Wednesday filing that a key decision on the jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal in its subsidiary Greenland Minerals' dispute with the governments of Greenland and Denmark over the Kvanefjeld rare earths project is expected in the fourth quarter.

Arbitration began in March 2022 after Greenland Minerals was denied an exploitation license under Greenland's 2021 Uranium Act, per the filing.

A hearing on the arbitral tribunal's jurisdiction took place in June, after which the arbitration may continue, be ended, or partially paused depending on the decision, the filing said.

Litigation in both Greenland and Denmark is ongoing but currently on hold pending the outcome of the arbitration, the filing added.
