Macau Casinos' Profit Set to Improve as Recovery Gains Pace -- Market Talk

0813 GMT - Macau casino operators' profitability, cash flow and dividend outlook are set to improve as gaming demand continues to recover, Morningstar analyst Jennifer Song says in a note, naming Sands China and Galaxy Entertainment as her top picks in the sector. Song says Sands China should benefit most due to its mass-market focus, large room inventory and strong record in nongaming activities. The company is projected to reaccelerate sales and margin growth from 2H. Meanwhile, Song says Galaxy Entertainment's product upgrades and sales team expansion, as well as the ramp-up of Galaxy Macau phase 3, should help drive profit and market-share growth. The launches of Londoner Phase 2 and Capella Galaxy this year should enhance Sands China and Galaxy Entertainment's long-term competitiveness, respectively, Song adds. (jason.chau@wsj.com)
