Belararox (ASX:BRX) said it is conducting a maiden drilling program at the Kalahari copper project in Botswana, with the program to test four of the six identified target zones interpreted through the Kareng West tenement, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The firm is seeking to delineate the contact between the D'Kar formation and the Ngwako pan formation and identify any mineralization occurring above this contact, which is known to contain copper deposits.
Drilling was completed on the first hole at Target 1, and portable X-ray fluorescence screening is underway. The program is on track to be completed by early November.
Belararox's shares fell over 1% in recent trading on Wednesday.
