Hong Kong launched the GoGlobal Task Force to serve as a one-stop platform helping mainland Chinese enterprises expand abroad through the city, according to a government statement on Monday.
The initiative integrates the resources of Invest Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and the government's mainland offices.
It aims to attract mainland firms looking to establish international operations through Hong Kong, according to the statement.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Financial Secretary Paul Chan said the task force will enhance coordination across bureaus and agencies to provide stronger support for overseas expansion, particularly in the Global South.
Commerce Secretary Algernon Yau, who leads the initiative, said Hong Kong can serve as the "sailing point" for mainland enterprises going global, combining the city's financial strengths, professional services, and international network.
