1540 ET - Visits to Cracker Barrel restaurants sank after the company changed its logo, causing backlash among conservatives, according to Placer.ai data. Visits were down 12% year-over-year in September, the first full month after the logo change, compared with a 0.1% decline in August and a 1.9% decrease in July. But traffic improved as the month progressed with visits down 7.2% the week of Sept. 22 after being down 10% the week of Sept. 1. Due to the backlash, the company reverted back to its "Old Timer" logo on Aug. 26, a week after it had made the change. (nicholas.miller@wsj.com)
