** Shares of Core Energy Minerals CR3.AX rise as much as 33.3% to A$0.016, their highest level since July 28; stock last up 8.3%
** Biggest intraday pct rise since April 14
** Exploration and development co says reconnaissance hand-auger drilling has returned multiple thick rare-earth element intersections associated with saprolite clay horizons at the Tunas Project
** Adds new tenement applications were filed to extend the project area 8 km southeast to cover additional radiometric anomalies
** About 20.6 mln shares change hands, 12.4 times the 30-day avg
** Stock is down 48% YTD, including the session's moves
