CME Group Says Metals Complex Volume Hits All-Time Daily Record

CME Group (CME) said Friday that its metals complex volume hit a record 2.15 million contracts on Thursday amid increased activity in gold and silver, beating the previous record of 1.73 million contracts traded on April 12, 2024.
Clients are turning to metals futures and options amid uncertainty driven by geopolitical and macroeconomic shifts, said Jin Hennig, CME Group Managing Director and Global Head of Metals.
