　　Waller于2020年由特朗普任命，是接替杰罗姆·鲍威尔成为下任主席的热门人选 —— 鲍威尔的主席任期将于明年5月届满。Waller表示面试进展顺利，进行了严肃的经济讨论。他还表示，面试不涉及政治。

　　他表示，希望继续降息，但强调决策者应保持谨慎。
