BUZZ-Energy companies down as crude prices edge lower on Gaza ceasefire

** S&P 500 energy index .SPNY down 0.5%, tracking a dip in crude prices O/R

** Brent crude LCOc1 down 0.6% at $65.88/barrel and U.S. West Texas Intermediate $(WTI)$ crude futures CLc1 down 0.5% at $62.25/barrel

** Crude prices edged lower after Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas signed an agreement to cease fire in Gaza

** Oil and gas majors Exxon Mobil XOM.N down marginally and Chevron CVX.N falls ~1%, respectively

** Targa Resources TRGP.N, Coterra Energy CTRA.N, Expand Energy EXE.O and EQT Corp EQT.N decline between 2.2% and 3.1%, among the top percentage losers on the energy index

** Oilfield services companies SLB SLB.N and Halliburton HAL.N each down ~2%
