EQT Holdings (ASX:EQT) said the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) amended its statement of claims against its subsidiary, Equity Trustees Superannuation (ETSL), relating to alleged due diligence failures in connection with the Shield Master Fund.
The regulator included a claim for compensation orders for losses incurred by members of the AMG Super and Super Simplifier platforms who invested in the fund, the company said in an Australian bourse filing Monday.
ETSL said it intends to continue to defend the proceeding and seek court orders that other parties pay compensation to members.
Shares of the company fell 3% in recent Monday trade and earlier hit their lowest since May 2020.
