群益国际（CGS International）经济学家在一份报告中指出，由于电子和生物医学两大板块均已开始失去增长动力，新加坡制造业在 2023 年下半年（2H）可能会出现疲软。

　　他们提到，新加坡第三季度（3Q）预估国内生产总值（GDP）数据也显示经济增长放缓，这反映出多数行业普遍面临疲软态势。而经济增长放缓的主要原因之一，便是制造业等行业表现走弱 ——8 月新加坡电子产出出现收缩，与之形成对比的是 7 月该领域仍处于扩张状态。

　　这些经济学家补充道：“我们预计，随着前期集中采购（front-loading）效应消退，且外部不确定性持续抑制需求，这种增长放缓的态势将持续下去。”
