阿根廷经济部长路易斯·卡普托表示，无论本月晚些时候该国中期选举的结果如何，美国仍致力于履行与阿根廷的200亿美元货币互换安排。
卡普托在华盛顿对记者表示，美国财政部仍在敲定货币互换协议的细节，但已决定向阿根廷提供该额度，并补充说美国政府将继续在必要时支持比索汇率。
美国总统特朗普早些时候在白宫会见阿根廷总统米莱时暗示，这笔金融援助可能取决于后者能否在选举中获胜。暂不清楚他指的是阿根廷10月26日的国会中期选举，还是米莱预计会寻求连任的2027年总统大选。卡普托对此表示，外界误解了特朗普的话。
“显然他指的不是这一点，而是政策的延续性，”卡普托在被问及特朗普的说法时称。“美国给予阿根廷的‘不惜一切代价’的支持仍在继续。”
卡普托拒绝透露美国财政部上周对比索市场进行了多大力度的干预，但表示可能会有更多行动。卡普托也未说明货币互换协议何时可能敲定。
“美国财政部拥有各种可用的工具，可在其认为合适的时机在不同市场采取行动。可能是外汇、金融外汇、美元期货，或者购买债券。
