路透社华盛顿10月14日 - 在1月份美国航空公司AAL.O的一架支线喷气式飞机与一架军用直升机在里根华盛顿国家机场附近相撞造成67人死亡之后，美国参议院商务委员会将于10月21日就航空安全立法进行表决。
该委员会将审议由参议院商务委员会主席特德-克鲁兹（Ted Cruz）和其他几位参议员提出的立法，要求靠近民用飞机的军用直升机使用先进的飞机跟踪技术ADS-B，并要求所有民用飞机使用ADS-B。
