斯托克欧洲600指数在伦敦收盘时下跌0.4%。法国CAC 40指数跌幅收窄至0.2%，因总理塞巴斯蒂安·勒科尔尼表示将提议暂停实施养老金改革，为寻求政治稳定不惜牺牲一项关键经济措施。
受贸易影响的汽车和矿业股领跌，而电信、房地产和公用事业等防御性板块表现优于大盘。
爱立信股价大涨18%，创2002年以来最大涨幅，受出售呼叫路由业务Iconectiv推动，该公司第三季度利润和现金流激增。米其林下跌8.9%，这家轮胎制造商因北美市场表现大幅疲软而发布盈利预警。
“关税问题反复引发分歧加剧了市场焦虑，表明当前市场稳定性十分脆弱，”资产管理公司MPPM交易主管Guillermo Hernandez Sampere表示。“若要守住市场此前的涨势，迅速达成协议已成当务之急。”
德意志银行策略师预计，在宏观环境支撑下欧洲企业盈利将实现低个位数增长，这意味着实际业绩将超出市场共识预期5%。奢侈品股的复苏势头将在财报季面临考验，因其估值已回升至较高水平。
