South Manganese Investment Appoints CEO; Shares Fall 7%

South Manganese Investment (HKG:1091) has appointed Zhan Haiqing as chief executive officer, effective Monday, according to a same-day Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the firm were down more than 7% in Tuesday's late-morning trade.

Zhan, who joined the group in 2005, currently serves as party secretary and chairman of South Manganese Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, according to the filing.
