机构:AI存储需求激发HDD替代效应,NAND Flash供应商加速转进大容量Nearline SSD

金吾财讯 | 根据TrendForce集邦咨询最新调查,AI推理(AI Inference)应用快速推升实时存取、高速处理海量数据的需求,促使机械硬盘(HDD)与固态硬盘(SSD)供应商积极扩大供给大容量存储产品。由于HDD市场正面临巨大供应缺口,激励NAND Flash业者加速技术转进,投入122TB、甚至245TB等超大容量Nearline(近线) SSD的生产,原先对未来需求不确定的状况获得缓解。

HDD产业正值技术换代的阵痛期,投资新一代热辅助磁记录(HAMR)技术产线初期的高昂成本,不仅造成产能扩张瓶颈,也迫使供应商将费用转嫁给客户,导致每GB的平均售价(ASP Per GB)从过往的0.012-0.013美元,提高至0.015-0.016美元,削弱了HDD最核心的成本优势。相比之下,NAND Flash通过3D堆栈技术的演进,产能提升速度远快于HDD。此外,随着堆栈层数从上百层迈向200层以上或更高,晶圆的储存位元密度不断提升。预期2026年2Tb QLC芯片的产出将逐步放量,成为降低Nearline SSD成本的主力。

TrendForce集邦咨询指出,待HDD产业的HAMR技术产线全面升级并达到规模经济后,其生产成本将有优化空间,然而NAND Flash成本下降的速度及产能扩张弹性皆具结构性优势。对长期寻找智能手机、PC需求以外的NAND Flash供应商而言,Nearline SSD市场的浮现无疑是久旱后的甘霖,更是实现HDD替代的绝佳契机,因此将投资重心转向更高密度、更大容量的QLC产品,除了满足眼前订单,更着眼于未来十年数据中心存储架构的主导权之争。
