The performance of Saverglass had not met Orora's (ASX:ORA) expectations in the first 18 months of ownership, and demand had been softer than forecast, Orora's Chair Rob Sindel said at its annual general meeting on Wednesday.
The firm is confident the changes it is making both in Australia and globally will ensure the future success of its glass business, per Sindel.
The firm focused on the integration of Saverglass into the group in fiscal year 2025 after its acquisition in 2023 and reorganizing its Global Glass business into three regions.
