BUZZ-HK-listed Hua Hong drops most in six months, SMIC follows

** Hong Kong shares of Hua Hong Semiconductor 1347.HK drop as much as 15.5% to HK$74.65, on track for the biggest one-day pct decline since April 7, leading slide in HK-listed semiconductor stocks

** Stock hit the lowest since September 30; top pct loser on Hang Seng Tech Index .HSTECH, which falls 3.8%

** Dutch government takes control of Chinese chipmaker Wingtech 600745.SS subsidiary Nexperia, citing concerns over technology transfer

** The Dutch government's move intensifies geopolitical tensions with Beijing, highlighting the ongoing global struggle over semiconductor technology and intellectual property, impacting investor sentiment over the sector in the mainland

** Shares of SMIC 0981.HK fall as much as 10% to HK$72.1, lowest level since September 23; top pct loser on the benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI, which falls 1.7%

** YTD, Hua Hong shares up 254%, SMIC up 129.4%
