Apple (AAPL) executive Ke Yang, who has been leading a ChatGPT-style web search project for Siri, is leaving the company to join Meta (META), Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Yang was reportedly put in charge of the Answers, Knowledge, and Information team recently, developing features to pull information from the web into Siri.
AKI is described as central to a major Siri overhaul planned for March, alongside delayed capabilities that use personal data to handle more complex requests, the news outlet reported.
Yang had recently begun reporting to Senior Vice President John Giannandrea after taking over from departing AKI head Robby Walker, Bloomberg reported.
Apple and Meta did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
