Comcast's (CMCSA) NBC News division is shedding about 150 employees to cut costs before the spinoff of some NBCUniversal cable brands into a separate company named Versant, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.
The employees will be encouraged to apply for around 140 other roles in the division, the reports said.
Comcast and NBC News did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
