英国国家统计局周四发布的数据显示，8月份英国经济仅增长了0.1%。

　　英国国家统计局指出：“2025年8月，生产增长了0.4%，而服务业没有增长，建筑业下降了0.3%。”

　　接受路透社调查的经济学家此前预计英国8月份经济将环比增长0.1%。英国国家统计局还修正了其7月份的增长数据，该数据最初显示英国经济停滞不前，现在是萎缩了0.1%。6月份的数据是增长0.4%。

　　英国经济增长放缓并不令人意外，第三季度GDP将于11月中旬公布，外界将密切关注是否有进一步减速的迹象。

　　今年第二季度，英国经济增长0.3%，好于预期，但低于第一季度的0.7%，这是由于4月份美国关税之前商业活动的提前增加。

　　经济学家们正在期待11月6日英国央行的下一次会议，看看该行的政策制定者是否会投票决定进一步降低利率以促进经济增长。实现这一目标的主要障碍是粘性通胀，英国8月份通胀率仍高达3.8%。

　　尽管如此，经济学家表示，随着劳动力市场疲软（失业率上升）和工资增长压力继续缓解，降息是有理由的。

　　不过，在11月26日政府公布秋季预算之前，英国央行货币政策委员会（MPC）可能对干预利率持谨慎态度。
