Nestle's New CEO Sounds More Assertive on Turnaround Plan -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Oct 16

0852 GMT - Nestle's new CEO seems more assertive on the company's ambition to turn its fortunes around, RBC analysts James Edwardes Jones and Wassachon Fon Udomsilpa say. The company focusing on real internal growth as a top priority, and doing more to push forward growth momentum, is all sensible, the analysts write in a note. New Chief Executive Philipp Navratil's ambition to support a culture focused on winning and refusing to lose market share is welcome, they add. Nestle's new strategy is poised to put it back on a path that was previously taken for granted, according to RBC. Though progress is clearly being made, it is still too soon to render it a success, the analysts say. Shares jump 7.8%. (aimee.look@wsj.com)
