Alphabet's (GOOGL, GOOG) Google has revised its July proposal to propose additional changes to its search results in an effort to avoid a potential European Union antitrust fine, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a document.

Google said its latest proposal aims to address calls for its search results to have the same information, functionality and features as those from third-party vertical search services, the report said.

"We will create the opportunity for each VSS to show its own box on Search. A VSS box will be populated with results from that VSS inventory," Google said in its proposal, according to the report.

Google did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
