路透香港10月14日 - 国际信贷评级机构穆迪周二称，随着地缘政治紧张及美国贸易政策不确定性增加，香港金融市场可能面临新一轮波动。
“由于港元在联系汇率制度下与美元挂钩，香港易受外部冲击。”穆迪的最新报告指出。
该机构提到，今年5月香港金管局为维护联系汇率制度，在港元强势压力下大量卖出港元、买入美元，向市场注入约1,294亿港元流动性，使银行同业港元拆息HIBOR=急跌，其中隔夜利率接近零，一个月利率降至0.5%，与当时美国超过4%的利率出现罕见分化，并短暂打开套利窗口。
流动性激增导致港元汇率HKD=D4逼近强方区间，金管局随后收回流动性，使总结余从1,740亿港元降至537亿港元，港元拆息回升至约4%，这一事件凸显香港在联系汇率制度下对外部冲击的敏感性。
穆迪并指出，虽然美联储预计将降息，香港利率可能跟随下调，但地缘政治紧张及美国贸易政策不确定性持续，香港金融市场仍需警惕波动。（完）
