--Verisure reported a cyberattack to police after it discovered a data breach at a subsidiary, Swedish national broadcaster SVT said, citing the company and police.

--The Swedish security company recently discovered "unauthorized access by a third party regarding data related to Alert Alarm that is stored with an external billing partner," a company spokesperson said, according to SVT.

--Police have opened a preliminary investigation for blackmail and aggravated data breach, SVT said, citing a police spokesperson.
