1308 ET - St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem says at a conference in Washington, D.C. that the candidates President Trump is considering as the next Fed chair all seem to be worthy picks. Asked about what would happen if the president picks someone unqualified, Musalem responds, "I think that that's a low probability. The people that ... made it to the final list are highly qualified individuals." Candidates such as White House adviser Kevin Hassett, former Fed governor Kevin Warsh and current Fed governor Christopher Waller are seen as among the top contenders for the job among a broader field of hopefuls.
