The Trendlines' (SGX:42T) unit, Celleste, has produced chocolate-grade cocoa butter through plant cell culture technology, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Friday.

The company now aims to work on sustainable production of cocoa butter through this methodology.

This comes as the global cocoa butter supply deficit reached over 400,000 tons, with demand increasing.
