路透柏林10月20日 - 德国《明镜》周刊(Der Spiegel)周一援引为议会预算委员会准备的机密文件报导，德国国防部长皮斯托里乌斯(Boris Pistorius)打算从美国制造商洛克希德马丁(Lockheed Martin) LMT.N再订购15架F-35战斗机。
报导称，这项补充采购被列入军事项目之中，规划人员估算新飞机所需的预算为25亿欧元（约合29.2亿美元）。
德国已经订购了35架美国制造的喷气式战斗机，以替换由85架即将退役的老旧"狂风"战斗机组成的机队。
F-35战机将接替"狂风"战机，在发生冲突时携带储存在德国的美国核弹。
柏林此前曾在7月否认增购15架F-35战斗机的计划，但此后国防预算的大幅增加为武器采购创造了更大的空间。
当时，一名军方消息人士告诉路透记者，增购15架F-35战斗机的想法是早先讨论的一部分。
任何关于增购F-35战机的决定都可能引发德国与法国之间新的紧张关系——两国在其联合战斗机项目‘未来空中作战系统’（简称FCAS，法语简称SCAF）上一直存在分歧。”（完）
