Talga Group (ASX:TLG) and Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile (SQM) Australian subsidiary have mutually ended their joint venture agreement for the Aero project in Sweden, after key regulatory approval was not secured, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The termination followed the failure to obtain required approval from the Swedish Inspectorate for Strategic Products within a reasonable time frame, ending the agreement immediately with no liabilities for either party, the filing said.

The company identified Aero's critical minerals including gallium, caesium and lithium through surface geochemical sampling, and with further sampling complete and results pending, it is preparing to engage other parties for new opportunities, the filing added.
