Ardea Resources Says Australia Renews Major Project Status for Western Australia Nickel Project; Shares Up 3%

Ardea Resources (ASX:ARL) said Australia's government renewed the "major project" status of the Kalgoorlie nickel project in Western Australia, including its subset, the Goongarrie hub, for a further three years, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
Due to the renewal of the status, Ardea and Kalgoorlie Nickel will continue to benefit from direct access to the Major Project Facilitation Agency for intergovernmental coordination of project support and approvals.
The firm's shares rose nearly 3% in recent trading on Monday.
