1908 ET - Interactive Brokers says investors continue to pour into stocks and options, unhindered by any lingering economic concerns. "The market climbed a huge wall of worry with little pause," despite a slew of potential concerns like the U.S. government shutdown, the company says during a call with analysts. Investors bought dips as the market declined and participated in rallies, showing they continue to be comfortable with the economic environment, the company says. The increased activity pushed trading volumes in stocks and options up 67% and 27%, respectively, in the quarter. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
