Genesis Energy (NZE:GNE, ASX:GNE) reported total retail electricity sales of 1,874 gigawatt-hours (GWh) for the fiscal first quarter, up from 1,686 GWh a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
The company's retail customers also grew to 502,765 from 498,497 in the previous year, the filing said.
Wholesale electricity sales were 1,695 GWh, compared with 1,971 GWh a year earlier, the filing added.
