光通信公司POET Technologies（POET）周三宣布，已从“一家将制造并销售光收发器模块的领先系统集成商”获得价值逾500万美元的POET Infinity光学引擎订单。
这一订单印证了近期散户投资者对该公司的关注。POET正试图凭借其旨在加速数据中心数据传输的一系列解决方案，在人工智能热潮中开辟利基市场。
自2018年底以来，POET累计营收不足200万美元，因此该订单将单独成为其营收的重要转折点。管理层预计将于明年下半年开始发货这些光学引擎。
POET执行董事长兼首席执行官苏雷什·文卡泰桑博士（Dr． Suresh Venkatesan）近日表示：“我认为我们即将告别无营收状态，随着业务进入这一新阶段，公司前景将比现在更加光明。”
