南方财经10月24日电，据央视财经，加拿大政府当地时间23日宣布，因美国车企通用汽车与跨国车企斯泰兰蒂斯单方面缩减在加拿大的生产规模，决定对两家公司实施反制措施，大幅削减其享受的免关税进口汽车配额。加拿大政府23日发布声明称，决定将通用汽车的年度免税进口配额削减24.2%，将斯泰兰蒂斯的年度免税进口配额削减50%。这意味着，两家公司超出配额部分从美国进口汽车时，将不再享受豁免，需全额缴纳加拿大为反制美国关税而设立的25%报复性关税。
