Ford Shares Surge 10% After Q3 Profit Beat

Shares of legacy automaker Ford F.N rise 10% to $13.57.

Co posted Q3 earnings per share of 45 cents, beating LSEG analysts' expectation of 36 cents.

Q3 revenue came in at $50.5 bln, up 9% from last year.

Sales of gasoline-fueled trucks and SUVs continue to power profits for the automaker.

However, co cut 2025 forecast for earnings before interest and taxes to a range of $6 bln - $6.5 bln, from $6.5 bln - $7.5 bln earlier.

Piper Sandler says if not for a recent fire at Ford's aluminum supplier, the company would have boosted guidance.

Three of 25 brokerages rate the stock "buy" or higher, 19 "hold" and three "sell" or lower; their median PT is $11.

YTD, Ford shares rose 25.56% as of last close.
