为应对销售放缓和贸易动荡，美国最大的芯片制造设备生产商应用材料计划裁减4%的全球员工。

　　据周四的监管文件，该公司将裁减这些职位，力争“成为更具竞争力和生产力的组织”。截至7月底，应用材料共有36，100名员工，这意味着裁员可能会影响1，400多名员工。

　　应用材料预计此次裁员将耗资1.6亿至1.8亿美元，主要是遣散费和一次性解雇福利。该公司计划在第四季度计入大部分费用，裁员计划将于2026财年第一季度完成。
